victory_red_SS project is under way
as for unblocking the intake Saturn motorsports made a big bore throttle body for the Ion, which opened up the diameter a bit, I believe someone else on the forum got it installed on there cobalt (not 100% sure), but it mat be one more thing to consider.
edit: here's a link SMS throttle body
it's about 3mm larger then the stock one. maybe Mev can make one to.

As for the Edmonton boys, my car will be there this summer as I still have family living there and I will be coming to race one of my brothers

I like that. That's really good
well i hope you get yours sooner than a few people that i know are still waiting for theirs
also rip the motor apart and go over it with a fine tooth comb , before you install it and run it , there has been a couple of motors they did for the J-body crowd , that ended up making odd noises
and on tear down for inspection , for the wrist pins were sliding side to side and hitting the cylinders

well the extra distraction from the photo guys wont help
im not sure how many motors they have built , and sold i just know a couple went belly up with the same problem , but i will say i havent heard anything lately , other than people still waiting on motors
i really hope yours comes out perfect , and you never have any problem
and i will say go over the motor before you put it in , i would personally do it with any rebuilt motor
id still say the same even if i didnt know about any pervious issues with any company , it comes from the better safe than sorry school

I stand by my prediction...and it in no way suggests JBP is inadequate, simply I have been through 3 major engine teardowns\ rebuilds and it never goes according to plan. Little things always arise.

Seriously, when I go into the garage and see her all torn apart I just tell her that she is going to be so happy when I finally get her back on the road.
Then as I drive my wifes 4dr Sunfire I see all the cars I want to race and I think soon I will be out to play again.
Then honestly not driving my car really sucks
