tell them to setup your order as priority ... they basically assign the order that is coming in to a specifc car by putting your vin on the order so gm knows it is going straight to a cobalt and not to some joe that may sell it to someone else. After doing this it only took about a week and a half to get my part so had I done it sooner the part possibly wouldn't have taken a month to come in like it did

Thats what i did, i gave them my vin and they told me they had about ten on order and one of those would be mine. But they said they are back ordered from about three weeks ago and not sure when they will get them. Maybe the end of the month.

Pull your instrument panel out and pull the light out! It will twist out and your problem is solved.

just got mine installed. Dude it is worth the wait. Don't be anxious when you get it installed or you will not be ready for the power

If it's the same in NY as PA, they hook up an emissions machine to your OBD2 port and check for a light that way. Here though, you can clear it with an OBD2 scanner that you can pick up at a local auto parts store and it will pass. Just be sure to clear the current and any saved codes, worked for me when my S10 had an intake valve leaking and threw an occasional misfire code.

Yeah its the same here. I do have the interceptor scan gauge, so i can clear the codes, but it always comes back in about 100 miles or so. So if i dont get the kit in time i can only hope i clear and it doesnt come back before the inspection.
