Water/Meth Injection with Nitrous

Just wondering if anyone is running Water/Methanol Injection with Nitrous. If so what is your set up like? Is it ok to run the Nitrous before supercharger? Is the mixing of the two too much? Any positive input would be great as I try to decide on what to do.

Yeah I've read several threads about nitrous. Some say not to spray before some say it's ok.

How often do you use your nitrous?

Well the meth is used to chill the air and to also act as a form of "nitrous" only it is not harmful to your engine sooo its up to you

Nitrous add's O2 to the combustion chamber, water/meth only cools the combustion.

I really do not think it is benifition to run both. Water/meth is for high boost aplications like an intercooler. The Nitirous is a O2 adder and a cooler. With Nitirous you can add more and get more power. With water/meth you reach a point were it add any more power. So it is pointless to uses both. Nitrous is just a step above water/meth.

It is actually quite beneficial to run N2O and water-methanol. Water-methanol does cool the intake, but don't forget its other attribute - detonation suppression. Lots of our customers will run water-meth with nitrous so that they either don't have to retard the ignition or don't have to retard it nearly as much.

Nitrous will cool your blower, that is also why on blower car, a small shot will actually create more power... and it will do a better job at it that anything else, so if you are spraying anything thru the blower, I'd use nitrous, like a super small shot (50) for it's cooling abilities. Meth is fine until it runs out or something happens to the system, then what? bang bang! I have had many friends running meth on GN's and they all eventually went back to double chips, one set for 93 octane and one for 110..much safer in the long run.

If you are running a wet shot on a blower, and use meth to for it's "octane boosting" then why not run a separate fuel tank with 116 in it for the nitrous use and be way safer with that?

I was gonna run a 30 shot after the blower through a plate to maximize the cooling effect of the meth... should be ok...

So do you think it would be ok to run the WMI and like a 50 shot with the GM stg 2 and 2.8? I'm also planning on getting the CA Heat Exchanger.

I'd get some better tuning before hand to pull some timing out, but I don't see a problem with stg II I don't think that it runs as much timing as I am now... actually I have a copy of it on my comp I"m gonna check.

Could you run water/meth injection before the supercharger(in the air intake) and then run the shot of nitrous in the intake manifold, like a direct port injection.

Yah does it really matter where you inject the nitrous, i was told, which i find hard to believe, that if you run a shot of nitrous before the blower that it doubles the shot becasue it is being forced through the blower, is this true?
