Water/Meth Installation Help please!!
that makes sence that it would require a certain psi from behind to open it, what at the same time an equal amount of vacuum from the other end should in theory open the check valve as well. thats why i'm thinking he would be better off running it before the tb so the tb blade interferes with the amount of vacuum the jet is exposed to................like i said just a theory i'm working on.
yeah i guess the first step from here is to tune it and see what happens... i think it would be a lot easier to figure out exactly what we need to do after its tuned correctly...if it works great than no need for change...if it doesnt, then try other things... but until its tuned its all a guess IMO
the plugs are kind of redish colored. and im gonna have to check on the nozzle tomarrow, I am running the 3 gph nozzle. thanks matt for filling him in. these are not big issues just adjustments LOL by the way i got a new phone a EN V made by LG its pretty cool.
Ok then you are fine with the nozzle size. Please remove it from the adapter plate and do the trail spray like I suggested. I just want to make sure the ferrule is installed right and that I didn't have it backwards since it's been awhile now since I did mine.
What also could be happening is that the suction created behind the TB is overcoming the 16psi crack pressure of the checkvalve. I actually had the same issue when I tried to hook up my kit into the adapter plate below my twinscrew. I had to get an electric solenoid to control it that failed shortly thereafter, so I found a 25psi checkvalve to do the trick. It's just far easier to drill the intake like I did and put it in there. This is what I resorted back to in the end, and what currently works great for me.

It is a bit pricey, but it does work great and has the highest cracking pressure on the market. If I remember correctly, I got the nickel plated one with the ends. The cracking pressure is 22psi, not 25 like I stated before. The one that comes with the Devil's Own kit should work perfect though if the jet is placed in the intake.

hmm well i didn't drill a hole in the k and n but i did drill the stock intake and use that. ( I don't have a tap for the k and n) i believe the nozzle is spraying correct ly the slotted end is facing out and the othere ferreld end is facing in. anyway if i can get my k and n drilled and tapped it will be going back in today but yeah i think im not gonna use the adapter piece.
This thread has definetly some great info. in it. I as well aint to savy on the methanol thing, but i just got my AIS stage 1 kit like 2 days ago and im waiting for a free day to install it. After reading all this i feel alot more comfortable about how everything works and the install on it. Plus Rodney from the AIS team has helped me out alot, props to him!!! any of you guys running the stage 1 standard kit that taps into your windshield washer fluid tank that AIS offers??

LOL ok man when i get home today i will pull the nozzle off and see if it is spraying a mist or a stream. if i could get a little nut for the other nozzle I have i would use that one. its weird how DO uses outside nozzles they don't give you enough threads for the nozzle to really get a bite.

lol well i will have to figure out what size the nut is and go buy one real quick. i guess i had the switch turned up to high cus i wasn't spraying anything the whole way home.
good one luke
im still at work. this **** sucks. i see that you got the env. those phones are pretty sick. hopefully my AIS is like yours. should just be an hour install with mine. we'll see.
