I took all those parts out to put in my roll cage and they weigh closer to 50lbs. I personally don't like the stripped down look so after the cage is done, it all goes back in. For those you want to gut the car thats your call because it's your car.

The flooring that you see is a piece of 1/4" cedar plywood painted black. It's scratched a little and needs to be touched up, because of all the hauling I've done. It is very light, yet strong enough to hold my weight (205+lbs) while kneeling. I attached it using 2 light weight hinges (so it can flip-up for access underneath) mounted using the inner two 12mm bolts that originally attached the seat back. This makes the trunk flooring completely flat, extending to the "leg area" of the rear seat. It is attached to the front carpet by velcro to prevent it from rattling. The top deck and vertical piece is also attached by velcro for the same reason - and to make it easy to remove if needed.

I had to make a 1" square notch at the rear of the board to allow the battery cable to pass.

In the future, I plan on replacing the heavy stock battery with a Dyna-Batt in the glove box (or glove box area,) eliminating the long cable. I don't want to go too small on the Dyna-Batt, because my e-rams draw a lot of current, so I may need to place it in another area, like in the depressions under the plywood flooring.

Yeah, I used to have a Ford Taurus. I'll never own another. Cost me more in repairs than the car was worth - and I'm a mechanic!

My son, against my advise, bought a Ford Ranger - That was 2 trucks ago - he'll never own another.

Not to say anything bad against Fords - but they suck! ... sorry, had to vent.
