Welding the Corsa Exhaust??

Ok all, I had gotten into a accident and thought my exhaust was fine well one day at the light i take off 1st is fine, 2nd i started to accelerate and next thing you know my car is loud as ****...Basically what happened was my C-clamp came off between my resonator and my muffler

Well so this damn problem doesnt happen again im wondering if it would be a bad idea to Weld it instead of using the clamps

Just give me some input thanks guys

It probably got knocked loose from the accident. If you clamp it well it should be fine.

Once it's welded, it won't come back off without a sawzall. I like the clamp idea, I just need to retighten mine because I have a small leak making the car shound like crap! That, and the high flow cat increased the dB's!

i have a leak where mine is clamped. been too lazy for quite some time to fix it. i think if u get the car hot and re-clamp it, you would probably be just fine...... but why the hell not. just weld the sucker.
