i never changed the maf fail hz because frankly. you would never hit it with a 2.85 :::smacks witt::: hehehe

i know your driving habits. you shouldn't have a popped hg. pull the plugs. the tune is aggressive but safe. to a degree.

everything aside from pe/timing/torque management is gm stuff. little tweeks here and there to the maf to keep it from throwing codes and to keep the car happy, and various other little things.

foaming oil isn't a good thing, but has nothing to do with what i did to it. i can come out there after work tonight and take a peak if jeremie finds nothing. without seeing the car. i got nothin

Definetly the crank sensor!!! Happened to me about 4 months ago. Car died and wouldn't start for about 20 minutes. I called roadside assistance and then retried it and finally cranked over. Light went off the next morning when I started it. I took it in for service at my dealer that I work at and they said that the crank sensor went up. It is a common thing for the cobalt's, especially for the ss s/c due to being the same as a base model. I hope this helps. The service will be covered under warranty!!

i can do that

ehehehehhe

could be the crank sensor. could be a random fart from god that hit the car. could be a snow ball from last summer.

speculation is strong here.

you're failing to see the foaming oil. THAT is the issue at hand.

I maxed the mad fail a couple times with a 2.8 and a intake. It didnt do it all the time but it just felt like I hit the rev limiter and it backfired

i have logs from me spinnin the motor to 7300. he doesn't ever go that high, and the maf was no where near the Hz of going over the set point that it would trip the fail code. or anything else.

**** sorry... kinda doozin' in and out!

Jeremie is comming over on his lunch with a code reader, we will figure out what the code is? If it is nothing serious I'll have you clear out the codes for me. If it's bad I'll have it towed up to the dealer and see what they say!

I was going to tell him to pee in the oil...

If it turns a really dark green, he may be dehydrated.

Uh oh! Foamy milky stuff is bad mmmmKay. You might have to give Cometic a call soon, get some Golden Eagle headstuds, and have the head resurfaced. I hope not, but if you do and have questions let me know. I've done this already so if I can be of assistance let me know.
