Well I'm convinced..

...that Turbo's are the majority of what makes a decent 4cylinder exhaust This exhaust was just released for the GTI MKV and I personally think the stealth one sounds amazing...coolest part is the MKV GTI has the same displacement motor as we do. I sure do wish we had an exhaust that sounded that deep.

Why does the cobalt pop and gargle so much? I thought that if i got a cat back that it would not do that and well it does. If i go larger will it be better?
I agree i would love exhaust that sounds like that.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that a larger diameter exhaust will just make it pop more.

No way!!!! BOVs sound good but nothing beats the whine of a supercharger when you take it up to redline. Drive through a tunnel and open the car up, it always gives me the biggest smile. But it sure is hard to find an exhaust that sounds good on this car.

The 2.0's exhaust can sound that deep with a header and a highflow cataltic converter

With the aam 3" catback my car backfires, and pops hella loud, i personally love the sounds of a supercharging whine, over a bov.

I think that 3" is too big for your exhaust. I dont know why but I read someone advising against it. I think it is because of backfire and what exactly is backfire?

I want an exhaust that is deep and quiet, I would much rather hear my blower than my exhaust. I beginning to think something like that isn't even possible with this car lol.

Well now i dont feel so dumb, its good to hear that there are other cars with the same thing happening. But there has to be some way that we can get around it. I f the header helps then i am gion to get one right away.

i dont mind the popping. my car is running rich on purpose, but after conferring with Darksun280, its my clogged cat thats making noise, a common problem on our cars.

why do you think that turbo is better then super? basically what delivers speed the fastest? = supercharger. the moment you step on it the super kicks in and whines. after watching hundreds of street racing vids of SRT-4's ect.. the turbo kicks AFTER time where as the super is always ready to go = power on demand = awsome just keep adding more mods to your super and you'll be able to beat the turbos

I complimented a guy on how bad ass his SRT-4 sounded and it really did. (The exhaust that is) but he thought I meant the BOV. I told him I hate BOV's and that supercharger whine sounds better. His face was priceless! Oh and then I proved to him that turbos arent everything.

its all a matter of opinion.

the exhaust note is just a preference. same goes for a supercharger whine or a bov.

i drive an STi (not MINE) and an ss s/c..... love the sound on both of em. personally, the supercharger whine is a cooler noise for entertaining crowds and onlookers.... but being able to press and depress the gas and hear the "Wooooosshhh" makes a turbo car so much fun to drive.

A highflow cat converter doesnt come with the catback exhaust (MagnaFlow, Corsa)? Then what exactly does?
