interesting. Curious, when the valve is closed doesnt that create backpressure in the pipe coming out of the rest of the main downpipe?

If you are talking about one of those baffle inserts I heard they work well and take the place of a cat for muffling the raspy exhausts.

(the lsj sounds like complete ass when it's roaring down the track like that - it's just downright embarrassing - people leave the track - the city - the province...)

but to each his own.
good luck!

i couldnt care less if it sounds like a kubota tractor (which it probably will)
0% of this mod was done for sound

Your running catless right? If so,whats the point of a cutout?Im guessing you have an exhaust also,so i really dont see you getting any gains from this. These cutouts are for people that wanna keep there exhaust stock and keep it nice and quiet for when there not at the track.Plus i heard these things dont seal properly after a while and youll get a constant leak from them.Either way good luck with it.

what actually cause electric cutouts to leak is lack of backpressure, most of these valves require some sort of back pressure, im an instrument tech so what hes working is something i sell daily to normally control water flow or gas flow etc....

do technically speaking it shouldnt leak, if it does, its a MFG design flaw, his exhaust isnt all that loud when he drives anyways
