no. The pressure will take the easiest path for the most part. there will be a very slight increase, but not as much as you would think.

3 inch exhaust dump....vs going through the gmpp 2.25 exhaust with resonator and muffler?

you think that makes no difference?!?!

Area--- its not the QT, its "race ready performance" I did alot of reading on them, RR is the only e-cutout that comes with a lifetime warranty, and has alot better longevity from the reading I did.
and yup. loctited (theres a long story to this lol)

and LOL at the people who keep saying it will sound like ****.
uh....yeah i know that....lol

anyway. updates. heres a vid.
and its unbelievably loud.
my regular exhaust is ZZP 1.75 primarys, to 3 inch catless, to GMPP performance catback.

kubota tractors dont rev that high.
when you switched open the dump on decel, it sounded like your engine fell apart.
i honestly expected it to sound worse.
i vote anom fastest with least dollars spent......

so, does the seat-o-pants dyno tell you anything?
i cant see it being a benefit below 5k rpm tho....

Right now im running on a very calm tune, with the stage 2 pully, probably around the 220-230hp mark
and i can tell you theres a significant loss of low range torque....

I can see that anyone putting a 3 inch setup on a stage 2 (ish) car, without tuning, would be pretty unhappy with it.

I will update once i put my meth, proper pully, and tune in.

I will likely be going to the dyno after all this is done.

i say, tie your meth into the switch, so when you meth kit activates on the full 12v, then have it relay open your dump.
the meth kit you got has variable voltage doesnt it?

is it modulated pulse like snow's???

Did you get an increase in the upper range in the seat of the pants dyno?

its hard to tell with the setup im on right now.
im pretty detuned for winter driving.

but its extremely quick to rev now, and above 5500 it pulls better.
once i get off this honda tune ill be able to comment with more certainty.

on a side note.....i was playing with it a little more....and one thing i really like about this RRP cutout, is its a butterfly design, so you can actually open it as much or as little as you want...

i had it at about 50/50 open, and the low range came back, with nice topend.

could be fun experimenting with this

i partially opens by voltage? cool, so then you CAN use meth hardware to open it under heavy load.

not surprising at all that youd be unhappy with it with those mods man.

like i said earlier, my current setup for winter is very conservative. (stage 2 pully, lots of boost limiting etc)
and i can tell already that this would be a BAD idea for 200-220hp applications.
theres a quite noticable drop in torque, its just a bit to big for it

but once you start pushing 270+ with the right tuning, i think the 3 inch will really start to help.
