300whp is hard to hit on the stock blower, If you really want 300 read above post, If you just wanna make like 270-280 go with OTT stage one, Dual pass endplate, Opt. B, OTT heat exchanger, Meth injection, 3'' intake, CA header, CTI 3'' down pipe, CTI 3'' exhaust.

Its been proven a a good 2.7 with full cooling mods and meth makes the best power, Anything lower than a 2.8 is overspinning the blower, The difference between 2.7 and 2.8 are only like 5hp and 2.8 is safer.

Smaller the pulley the more heat your making, Yes there is a few guys that ran 2.5's and made good numbers but theres a reason the fastest stock blower car is running a 2.8

i love when people say that. but 3 of the top five people in the SS/SC, MODDED,STILL USING THE STOCK SUPERCHARGER(NO OTHER POWER ADDERS) are running a 2.5" another with a 2.6, but then stu and his ******* 2.85 hahahah

yeah.....traction. and its only a difference of 0.09sec from 1st-2nd, 0.02sec from 2nd-3rd, 0.32 from 3rd-4th, and 0.02 from 4th-5th. do you know what 0.09sec and 0.02sec looks like at the track without winlights and display boards??? its looks exactly the same hahaha

but my point is. below a 2.8 maaay be over spinning the blower. but it will still net you a nice ET with the right supporting mods.

The problem is heat my friend, Same reason its not as safe. You can put a 1.5'' on there and boost like crazy But that dosent mean it will make more power, The supercharger has a efficiency range, By overspinning the blower your leaving the efficiency range. Anything lower than a 2.7 is pointless for the gains you would see (if any)

put on a 2.6, or 2.5... just be ready to have your very own "engine blew, time to spend thousands rebuilding"

as mentioned, 2.7", 60's, dualpass endplate, heat exchanger, meth, intake, full 3" exhaust, clutch, nice toooon.
then its time for traction, drag bags, engine/ tranny mounts, axles, slicks.

have fun!

Yep, and a header/downpipe. That would be a good start.

A lot of the guys that keep bashing a 2.6 has never even ran one. If you have the right cooling mods and a good tune. Its fine.

Stu is an exception. He had nasty traction mods and some kind of crazy pixie dust.

Hes using drag radials which helps ALOT too...

His time would be lower if he used a 2.7. even a 2.75

Headed/downpipe. Injectors and a good tune. Drop a pulley size if ya want. You'll giggle each time you flat foot the gas

nothing wrong with it, haha. if you want 300+whp on a stock M62, it's the easiest way to go and you dont have to run an extremely small pulley with every possible cooling mod & a magic pixie dust tune
