What cooling mods for a 2.7pulley?

What cooling mods are required to run a 2.7 pulley on the SS? I don't know much about the cobalt and expecially about the intercooler and such. Any advice and tips would be helpful. Thanks

heat exchanger, and dual pass for best results together and there is always meth if you plan on going that way.

As many cooling mods as possible is the best way to go. Meth Injection, Heat Exchanger, and Dual Pass End Plate are some of your options. Combine them all together and your set :

Whats the point of meth injection? Like yeah i know the fact that it cools the engine but whats the need for it if you've got dual heat exchangers and a dual pass endplate? It's not like we can just turn the boost up to max and use the meth injection in order to run the extra boost... or can we????
I thought the meth injection was to run more boost... but what if we're gonna run max boost all the time like with a 2.7 pulley... keep the meth on all the time???? or can we turn the boost down with a boost controller??? I am confused. Like I said earlier I don't know much about the Cobalts so im not a complete retard..

meth is a way to keep ur engine cooler and run more timing which is more power...and get more aggresive in ur afr's which can be more power too

meth is also like running high octane gas..all the time lol..its all in tuning when it comes to meth

How can we advance timing? I don't see many timing controlers out there.

I haven't seen these for the cobalts.. I don't want to advance timing permanently because i don't want to have to have meth on all the time or get alot of cooling mods...

Meth doesn't run all of the time. You would set it up so that it sprays once you hit a certain boost level. So say you set it up by having it spray when you hit 10 psi, 10psi and up is when the meth would spray, anything below 10 psi and you wouldn't.

My methanol kicks in at 5 psi! Methanol also lowers your IATs about 15-20* because well it's a cooler charge, but then it also allows you to run more timing.

I went from without meth (20* of timing and an IAT2 of about 165-170*) to now with methanol (26* of timing or so don't know exactly and my IAT2s were about 115-120*)

***NOTE THE AMBIENT AIR TEMP WAS ALSO ABOUT 20-25* COOLER AS WELL SO IT ISN'T ALL METH***

Your engine wont go " kaboooomy" if you dont tune for meth! You wont get the full benefits of it. It will help drop the IAT's but its best to have your car tuned so you can advance the timing as well as getting the cooling benefits!

Start with the heat exchanger and dual pass option B

doesn't the meth kit come with a controller to increase or decrease timing?
