It lowers the temps of the incoming air. Cooler air temps = more HP. The cooler you can make it the better.

You have a tock Heat Exchanger that cools the fluid going to the intercooler. You can get a aftermarket heat exchanger and have both units cooling the fluid for Lower temperatures. An aftermarket drops IAT2 about 15-20 degrees.
Dual pass? Yah it should work with the dual pass. Not sure on dual pass, someone else can elaborate.

A dual pass lowers the temps even more.

And knowing is half the battle. GO Joe!

Yes a dual pass will work fine with a aftermarket HE. Your just adding one more length of hose to the circuit.

The system is like two radiators...

The laminova tubes in the intake manifold take heat from the incoming air charge and transfer that heat into the coolant. The coolant flows through the hoses out into the heat exchanger where it is transferred from the coolant into the atmosphere. There is an intercooler pump constantly recirculating the coolant.

If you add another heat exchanger then you have more surface area to dissipate heat into the atmosphere and the dual pass endplate for the intake manifold cuts the path in half for the coolant traveling through the laminova tubes making them more efficient.

Wait, did that make any sense?
