ok so i pull out of a toll booth earlier today. shift at 4 grand in first and give it 90% throttle in 2nd and i hit just over 4000rpms and my car stops (still running just idling), it said engine power reduced on the little screen where it lists your mileage. i pulled over, shut the car off for a min. start it back up, rev it, then go on with my business. It ran fine after that. should i be worried?

Before I say not to worry about it, its worth taking a quick poke under the hood and check things out, make sure everything around the intake is tight (even at the sc) , maf is tightened down ok, wires, leaking filter etc. Things do come loose... Something caused her to shut down, its worth taking a peek

usually you limp when you have a loose connection on the Throttle Body, or have bad MAF signal.

**** happens.....**** happens more with the GM Stage 2 Tune.

Sometimes these cars especially us 60# cars they just get pissed and hiccup go into limp mode... and then they are fine and dandy just minutes later!

Something you just have to get used to from time to time!

Umm........no they don't. I've never had a 60# car hiccup and go limp.

If you've gone through 3 crank position sensors, then you are misdiagnosing the problem.

That would be the MAP sensor.

not always true. You can blow your motor and still not throw a code. Don't rely on the dash light to tell you there is something wrong.

What is a scan going to reveal?

Here's what you do when you get that message at random.

1. Open hood
2. Locate harness connection on Throttlebody.
3. Push it in harder, the connection can look solid but the connection is a finicky one.

Not much else triggers limp mode without a CEL.
