What Header DP combo? S3

Hey i currently have a stage 3 GM cobalt SS/sc with gmpp exhaust and zzp intake.

Wondering which header dp combo would provide the best bang for the buck.

Think of ZZP shorty or midlength right now.

If someone could explain to me the benefits of different sizes or headers (short, mid, long), their primaries (1.5 or 1.75), as well as the downpipes (2.5 or 3).

Already doing a ZZP order is the main reason. Just curious about all of their options.
Would prefer the most power between 3-5k rpm or so.

Thank you!

Don't think it covers primary size on headers or 2.5 vs 3.0.

And ZZP just released the shorty header so there isn't much opinion out on it.
Thanks for the help though...

shorty is a low end header, mid length is gains thought and long tube is a loss in low end and a large gain in the top range.

He said "Don't think it covers primary size on headers or 2.5 vs 3.0" which since it has the or means that his search didn't cover either the primaries or the DP diameter. Although I personally believe a search could fine it he's a new member and it's easier to just give an answer. Yes people should search but it really is a bad search this site has.

No offence to you Mr.B I love the work you do but I don't see this one quite as often as the catback threads so I'm a bit more tolerant.

I was talking about the primaries of the headers (1.5 or 1.75) and the size of the downpipe (2.5 or 3.5)

Don't have to be such a dick about things.

I understand there is information out there.
But i also doubt there is much information about someone with stage 3 GM ss/sc specifically who already has the GMPP exhaust and only wants to order from ZZP.

I'm starting to think shorty header, I usually only go from like 2.5k --> 5k in the city anyways, long headers seem like a loss at that much money.

So should i be getting the 1.5' or 1.75' primaries.
And what are the differences between the 2.5 and 3.0' downpipe.
I'm planning catted just because i dont want to have to keep switching for etest.

2.5' exit on either i assume for the GMPP exhaust, but what size in general.

Thank you

1.75 primaries for an Ss/sc. So I've been told.

Not sure about differences in dp sizes, makes sense to keep 2.5" throughout.

I've had experience with a lot of combos IE:

*ZZP Long Tube Header
*OTTP Long Tube Header
*Vibrant Mid Tube Header
*Shorty Header + ZZP 3" Downpipe

Best bang for the buck was the last option and personally liked it the best, mind you the rest were the best but performance wise for the average driver not a big difference

The GMPP exhaust has a 2.5" inlet and whatever combo you choose make sure it has exit to match that so it fits the GMPP/Stock Exhaust, however the Downpipe can be 3"

Enjoy

He really knows his stuff though and is a valued member for his knowledge, if it's wrong section he says that and then answers. If there are **** tons of threads on a subject he says search and doesn't give an answer.
