What Parameters for Aeroforce Interceptor?
What Parameters for Aeroforce Interceptor?
Hey guys, just got done installing my dual gauge pod with my Aeroforce Interceptor and was wondering what the most important parameters to have displayed while driving...knock and timing?? I did a search and educated myself on knock but I did not find any information regarding timing or air/fuel ratio numbers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks again. Mods listed below.
on mine i think i used fuse slot 27, all the power wire does it turn he LED on and off, the guages works with the the OBD2 port. but mine stays on until i open a door with the key out of the igniton, if i take the key out but dont open doors its stays on.
i just plugged mine into the obd2 port and the thing is it doesnt come on so i gotta always go down unplug then plug it back to get her on, but once its on and i turn off the car it shuts off like 15 seconds later
Ok, so KR and IAT2 are the most critical displays that people are viewing?
why you guys using such a difficult way to run power.. fuse box? you guys are making way to much work on this...
use the stock guage and clip about a 4-5" piece of wire and use a T-Connector to Bridge power from the stock guage to the interceptor, this way the interceptors power is like the stock guagues.

It's really not that difficult although your suggestion would be a lot easier to do. Since I plan on utilizing my analog 1 & 2 wires for additional parameters I just ran them into the engine bay along with the power cord anyway. Yes finding an accessible circuit was a major PITA!! I would def. suggest tapping into the stock power boost gauge wire for future owners.
when i had duals, i would monitor IAT2, Coolant, Knock retard, and the fourth would be my floater though most of its time it was on ignition advance
now that i sold one and got a wideband, i monitor IAT2 and knock retard

Meaning that if you were to utilize your analog inputs for future parameter readings you would have to route them through the firewall into the engine bay anways (unless you plan on going wireless ^'') as previously stated so i just saved myself the hassle and now have easy access to them.
