What is size stud on GM Adjustable Cams 3/8 or 5/16?
I have decided to make up some adjustable cams for my LSJ build going into a 1986 Lotus Esprit (the ones that are commercially available are $500).
I'll take a stock set of camshaft gears and mill out the center....and then make a custom center piece that will enable the adjustment
So some lathe work and mill work (relatively simple. Will need to do the mill work with an adjustable piece holder, so that can make the necessary slots to offer a +/- 10 degree swing on the custom center piece.
What is the stud size that GM uses? Is it 3/8" or 5/16" (or if metric, what size).
Thanks

I did get some saab gears. The problem would be every time I would want to "turn them", I would need to loosen the main bolt (and thus get a new bolt every time or buy an ARP bolt).
I can make a set off adjustable gears with just my time , as I have all the materials (so much cheaper)….and would having something that I can adjust at any time
