What type of meth to use
I was wondering what type of meth you guys use. I read some where that you could use winsheild wipper fluid. The kind that is blue and is good for -20 degrees. I also read that it had around 35% methanol. All i can find though is the 0 degree formula. So does anyone know where to get -20 formula. And also what percent meth is the 0 degree formula.
then youre not getting the best cooling. what is your point? I didnt say it doesnt work. I said it is best to use the real thing whenever possible.
edit: To clarify: If you tune using windshield wiper fluid, then you tune using 50/50, the results from using the 50/50 will be better. So while windshiled wiper fluid is common practice and ok to use, you'll get better results with 50/50. Thats all I'm saying.

not trying to be a dick, but methonal is not always accessible, if you're stuck out of town and can't get it, and your car is tuned on it. you're screwed. plus methonal eats the rubber parts, and eventually eats the inner workings of the pump itself. if im going to sacrifice 5 degrees of lower temps and risk the pump eating itself, it is worth it to me in the end.
just my lil opinion

there is always an upside and a down side to everything you do to a car. regardless of what it is. laws of physics denote this. sad reality

Can you guys tap into your washer fluid resovoir or do you have an extra tank? I didn't realize you could use it. That would be nice to just tap into it, would be easy to fill. Do you spray your washer fluid before the blower and it helps cool it that much and doesn't effect the blower/motor/anything else?

I've used ww fluid in the past with ok results. The major concearn of why I stopped using it is because you never actually know if the content changes from bottle to bottle. The manufactures of it don't have the strictest policies and exact meth content can be different from different bottles (of the same manufacturer). It's really not the biggest problem in the world unless you are perfectly tuned for one bottle and on the ragged edge of detonation for max power, and you get another one with a different combo. It can blow things up under those circumstances.
Since methanol isn't the easiest thing to get ahold of pure, I have used denatured alcohol (home depot), or isopropyl alcohol (rubbing). The one I ended up using over time was rubbing. I could get it anywhere and it's relatively cheap. Grab the big bottles
One more thing is use klotz lube in your pump especially if you are using methanol. It'll help prolong your life of the pump. BTW, you can purchase rebuild kits for your pumps when they go instead of getting new pumps
This is just some things I've found out over the time I was spraying. HTH someone.

One thing you can count on boost juice having is consistancy with alcohol levels. But like I said before, I agree that for a non ragged edge of detonation -20 should be adequite. But don't count out isoproply alcohol and denatured alcohol if you're in the market.
everybody i got a couple questions, im planning on adding this injection to my car here in the next couple of months. say if you were to run out of the fluid and you didnt know it was out, could this mess your car up or what???? can you have it set to where it injects with the push of a button or do you have it set to where it automatically injects by itself?? can any shop tune this into your car and does the washer fluid mess your pump up?? sorry if its alot of questions but just never used this. whats the best brand of washer fluid to use??
You don't want it to run out. If you're tuned right with it you can knock without it. I'm not sure, but our stock washer bottle probably has a low fluid light which is an added bonus if you use that as your resivoure. If you use another one look for one with a low fluid light sending unit and hook up a light inside your car somewhere it's easily visible. You don't want it to inject with a button. It's simplest to use when it's hooked up to something like a boost switch or map sensor. That way it'll turn on at the same psi everytime, you won't bog if it's too early, won't knock if it's too late etc. And any shop that can tune your car SHOULD be able to tune with an alcohol kit. However I would contact them first to find out for sure.
