I heard one guy in FL with a ported head only gained 11whp or so. But our exhaust ports are kinda small, but that will help with exhaust velocity to help spool some turbos

Yeah see I always thought you would gain hp from doing port and polish. Im not believing this guy 100% but he seemed to know alot about our car and what it can do. Id really like to see a dyno from somebody who did this.

our intakes ports are fantastic though, and at most just need a little polishing to clean up the casting a little, you really can't do much on the exhaust side though since one of the ports has an oil passage directly next to it.... hold on, I"ll take some pics of the head I got in my room

i thought your not supposed to polish the intake ports because it helps the air/fuel mix together better. does this not matter on our cars since we have a supercharger??

As cool as that was for you Paul, we don't need to see a picture of some girl blowing you in your room

lol... I wish that was the pics I had man... lol

and as for polishing the intake tract, get it "swirl" polished which helps with air/fuel mixing

I was thinking that was what it was called but didnt want to sound stupid. Is there a place where you can buy one side at a time???? Ive been looking at these for about a month now since I purchased the car and can only find places who sell both as a package and not driver side or passenger side.

please keep in mind that their horse power ratings can be drasticly over rated as well.

I already went there but didnt see nothing. Guess you have to buy as a set, it only says 05-06SS/SC but im assuming the 07 SS/SC will fit just fine.

yeah same thing. But I'm alittle worried about what they can actually handle due to the limitations of cv joint size because of our hubs

Well the horsepower isnt what breaks the axles, so it can't be overrated or underrated. what's breaking our axles and everybodys axles who drag races is either wheel hop or torque at the wheels. what needs to be found out about these axles is how much torque they can handle.

Here's a good calculation for torque. T= (5250)(HP)/RPM

so, riddle me this.

how can an integra, that puts down over 600 to the tire. on stage 5.9 dss axles
rated at 1000 hp.

snapped them
while in third gear at the track.

1/8th mile speed was 119.

it was moving to say the least

Im not exactly sure how that could have happened and I can't justify it. Ive never seen anybody break an axle going down the road. Everytime I've seen somebody that has broken axles is coming off the start. Did the guy wheel hop at all going into third or what?? He could have cracked the axles off the line and if he wheel hopped going into third gear then he could have completed the job.

launched on 13 psi.
it spun out of the hole. low boost was 22. when he hits third, it gets switched to 40.

usually it breaks the tires loose. this time, i guess it hooked and barfed the weakest link
