what would be needed for a shift light?

I saw a video on streetfire of a ss with a shift light were the traction control light would be, maybe he had wired it to be a shift light I dunno

My question is what parts and effort would be required to make a similiar mode?

No I dont want to install a huge tach on the dash I'm thinking something stealhty maybe just 1 or 2 single led's

I thought it maybe be better if you could somehow wire a light up on the headliner some were in your periphal vision like on the pad were the sunroof control as opposed to looking down at the cluster

Any and all input is always helpfull!

this is a really good question, id seriously like to know how to put a shift light where the traction control light would go.

it would help with this slow ass tach that cant keep up with my 2 wycked speed machine.

HYPNORIMS FTW!!!

The car already has a shift light that is non-functional in the SS's. All you would really need to do is figure out how to a) enable it and b) set it to a specific RPM (in the lower models it comes on at around 2500 for fuel economy)

I would think so too, but I've never messed with it and I don't know anyone who has.

I believe Stage 3 will allow you to enable the shift light but I don't know for sure.

You could get an interceptor which has a shift light built in and does a ton of other cool things too. I know I love mine.

you can check autometer too. they have shift lights and the adapters that are needed for shift lights that they carry.

on my LS the shift light automatically comes on around 3000rpm. i would love to make it more like 5600rpm. i also have a dashhawk which blinks red when approaching red line. i htink there is also a way to adjust that to blink when you want it to.
