I didn't waste my money on the GM rip off. I modified my stock end plate.

well, if you want to connect it correctly, from the exit end of endplate it should go into the T then connect to a T with the reservoir and then connect to the input of the pump. I'd first start by hooking the system up to GM specifications to make sure nothing is wrong.

I know i made a mess many times retubing and releasing air to get the coolant pumping, but i just have a lot of cat litter to soak it up and more dex-cool to replace it with

All that GM has you doing is going to the pump first instead of last. I'm not sure if that makes much of a difference, but it will require that I buy more hose and possibly elbows and fittings to make the curves. Since, the stock hose from the pump is already going near the middle. I don't understand why they want you to reroute the whole system since it goes from the pump stock to the tubes. If anyone could clarify why that is vital or useful I would try, but it isn't my main focus yet. Mainly because all those pieces are so expensive. Elbows are like 5 bucks for a stupid piece of plastic.

Edit/Update:
I added more coolant. It was half way to the warm fill level of the surge tank. I filled it to the 1/4 hose. It stayed around 100 the entire drive home. I ran full WOT for a mile only managed 140 and it dropped instantly to 120 after I slowed up. I'm hoping it is fixed now.
