Wheel Hop and Spinning is gone.

I had a couple of posts or so about how I have the,
RSM Tranny Mount
Ingalls Torque Brace
DC STB
225/45/28s on a 7.5 inch rim

and I still had wheel hop. Well I added Eibach Sportlines, which make the car look badass by the way. Well anyways my wheel hope is gone and I dont even spin the tires. I took the car out a couple of times after i had the springs put on and I can ease out on the clutch at 1700 or so then MASH it to the floor in 1st. Yes mash it to the floor in 1st and I have 0, I mean 0! wheel spin or hop. It hooks like a SOB and it rips. Im hoping to see some nice times with my billetflow 3.15 and my stage 1.

Should be really good times.

Oh and this is at 32 psi in the tires too.

I just thought id share this. Hopefully I can get my pulley and stage 1 on soon so I can get you guys some times.

Sweet. Good to hear. Sportlines are my next mod. How much did you pay and where did you pick them up?

28 inch rims! It's a wonder you can turn those at all!

Seriously, though, that's good to hear. Now that you can get your power to the ground easily, it's time for more power!

Wheel hop truly is caused by Soft Components... and loose mounts. Nice...

True true...while the Cobalt set-up is pretty stiff, there is a lot of suspension travel to help make it more tolerable. Those shorter springs I'm sure help a lot.

I can mash my first gear with no spin or hop at all. Im not sure how I do it but il try and explain how it happens. Ive tried this all night with positive outcomes. When I take off I barely give it any power and almost make it in gimp mode at 700rpm and then I punch it when my clutch is out. It just pulls up to 7000 very quickly and the car seems to like it alot. Only problem is the car seems powerless at first but atleast you take off perfectly.

Yes the sportlines helped alot. Like I said I still had lots of wheelhop even with those mods and I have a nice stiff tranny mount.

225/45/18s oops not 28s rofl

Also for the other guy, I got my sportlines from Turbo Tech Racing and I had them installed at my dealership with alignment for $255

I would say around 2.3 but people dont expect it because your not spinning. It pulls like a ****. You have to make the engine think that your about to stall it then go WOT and it will pull just like your second. Kinda fun if you ask me.

Glad to hear this works but I want to dump the clutch at 3k+. HAHAA I don't think it will work then.

As I was typing this I noticed you were pretty stock performance wise. Good job finding an effective setup for most of the guys out there.

I'm thinking about getting one. I don't wanna drop $150ish on one of it's not going to help wheel hop and the feeling where the engine slams forwards when shifting at high rmps... Is this worth it guys? Thankss

Yeah, all that jerking on the engine is bad and ingalls will take care of that. You will hear more engine noise at first but after a week or two you won't even notice it exists.

2.3 is hardly good for drag racing.... I don't know what's the standard for a cobalt though
