Well here on the .net, fasto6ss is the fastest ss running a 13.52. I belive if he gets a full i/h/e and maybe a stage 1 cam, he will be in the 12's.

If people are running a 13.5 or 13.4 with that instense stage 3 and exhaust, and intake, im sure you add drag radials to that list and you could be high 12's.

he also said that he isnt a track star .... so take it for what it is worth. With 270 whp and some good stiff mounts with DR's and a 2.0 60 i could see the dial reading 12.95 or something of that ilk

yeah that was his main problem keeping the tires planted in order to run a 13.52. so if you add poly control arm busings or a torque brace he would definately be in the 12s. i hate the way you can not roll full throttle through frist and sometimes through 2nd.

I think alot of the owners are afraid of losing there warrenties, and they have every right to be. I'm lucky i held back on putting the stuff in my closet on my car cause now my 2nd and 5th syncros are on there way out and my exhaust system clogged again which all has to be coverd under warrenty. Last time my exhaust went it cost the dealer 1200 to fix. I know for damn sure im not coming outta pocket for that.

agreed, i was just thinking the warranty might be one of the barriers for why cobalts havent hit 12s yet, people have the money saved there just waiting for there warranty to expire before they go all out

Well i can say with confidence that my Cobalt will be in the 12's by spring WITHOUT nitrous! Never liked that stuff, it's cheating if you ask me Doesn't require brains or ability, only a good finger to arm it

I personally dont think it will take a large amount cash to get there . If FAST06SS had control arm bushings , upper/lower motor mounts and trans mounts I think his day on the Hoosiers woulda been quite bit more spirited . More spirited doesnt mean I said 12.anyting ....just trying to corrolate the above quote , and the low cost of what Rob has in his SS .

I wonder what it feels like to from dead stop to WOT and hook up in the SS , no pedaling , no drama . When that happens , then I wonder how durable the trans is , and how the axles are gonna like it .
