When will the 06 SS S/C w/ G85 start hitting the car lots???? I'm wanting to buy an 06 with G85, and need to know when I need to start trying to sell the Civic. Thanks! Later all!

I am so glad you said that because the only reason I'm not sitting in an '05 SS right now is because the G85 pkg is only available starting in '06 on Canadian models. Cost me a little more the $1500 USD but still worth it I think!!

Well I 'placed' my order for my 2006 SS S/C with G85, Arrival Blue... the first week of June .. and I "hope" to get mine sometime in August if I am lucky .....
still waiting to hear any update on it at this time.

the Chevrolet ordering process seems a bit odd to me. Dealer tells me that we place the order in the computer system there at the dealership.. and then the national Chevy/GM computer system at some time picks that order up from the dealership and then it finally gets in line to be built, and then we'd finally get an idea of expected build date....

So I'm not even holding my breath yet until my dealer tells me that it's been picked up by the national Chevrolet system or whatever...

Maybe this is just what happens to small dealerships in small towns in the least populated state.... (seems we're very low on the priority list...)
It was a bit of a similar ordeal with my brother's g/f when she ordered her 2005 Cobalt LS (she originally placed order with the dealer in March I think, and got the car in June)

Small towns? About whole countries? You'll probably get yours before anyone in ALL of Canada does! I actually spoke with the BM at the dealer today (this is the guy who actually inputs the orders with GM) and he has confirmed that my order has been "preferenced" (confirmed to be built by GM themselves). He told me to expect the car in 8 weeks - 8 weeks!!! I cannot possibly wait that long So I made some desperate phone calls to various dealers in and around Toronto asking if they have any 05's left. I figure they're had to be a few since I checked on the website last week using the "Locate a Cobalt" tool and 22 were still available. Today - NOT 1!! They've been ALL SOLD OUT!! I guess I'm gonna have to wait afterall
