So are you talking about the cruise or what? It sounds like he wants to prevent riding his clutch from switching a switch.

the switch/button is located behind the clutch pedal, when you press the clutch all the way in it clicks, it's a white button that your clutch hits whenever it's pressed. Not sure if that's what you mean though.
wow, asking a question here and everyones goota play around. Have already taken it to the dealer twice! i think its from riding the clutch to much, just kinda noticed i didnt take my foot completely off the clutch and thats probably the reason. THanks!
I feel you man .. Some peoples kids ! GL!

you guys realize that there IS a clutch switch right....? i'm uploading a picture right now. as for its effect on the actual engagement/disengagement of the clutch....it doesn't its an electronic trigger that activates when the white part is fully depressed. it tells the ecm the clutch in engaged and will allow you to start the car, and it also disengages the cruise control...
I thought my 2.2 had clutch assist it made a clicking noise and it was easy to shift but I could be wrong. The ss/sc does not have anything like that I'm aware of so this response is pretty unrelative.

I have never heard of "clutch assist"

/so called epic fail. the kid is right about the switch. however it has NO EFFECT on the actual engagement/disengagement of the clutch itself. so "fixing" the switch will not solve YOUR problem of riding the clutch. that is fixed by your feet. not the clutch itself
