Where is the oil filter

I dont know where the oil filter is on my 06 cobalt ss/sc

its a paper filter inside a canister with a black top. i think its like 22mm
it may not look like your mental image of an oil filter, and that could be the reason you cant find it.

I think its bigger than that. IIRC you need a 1 1/4 socket.

EDIT: You must have meant 32mm, because that comes out to be 1.25 in.

35mm it is, i got bashed for not know ing how big it was the other day. youll need a long rachett extension to make things a lot easier. i got the 35mm piece at napa for like 10 bucks or something. its pretty much right below the by-pass valve (your wrench comes up right next to it) getting your nad down there to grab it out is a little fun, especially if your engine is hot
