why hasn't the killer chiller been a success?
Doing research on the killer chiller and see a lot of people saying its worthless. Doing research elsewhere, cobra forum, Cadillac, and even amg forum and it work great. Seeing an supercharged amg and his iat was 50 on a hot day. Think he said he wasn't runnirunning heat exchangers, just the kc.
My question is why has it not been an success with us? Not many people put it to the tests? I know flatgod did some stuff and nnow has an cooled system but not anyone else

Still selling these for the cobalt? Not likely. OTTP was pretty much the only ones who sold it and they have gotten bad customer service hits lately. The reason being is that for a lot less you could do a dual pass and upgrade the heat exchanger and you'd be good for cooling. This was a good product just not a good bang for the buck on the cobalt.
No because like mr b said, a lot of cheap asses on this site and don't want to spend money.
Also having this and having it work properly will be an success on my part.
Cold ass temps without using meth is great.greater then a fmhe or dual pass
Also have those modz and Florida heat kills it

Yeah this killer chiller, while.being a bit of a pita to install 100% PROPERLY, is not usually worth it. But it is an awesome thing to have that i would.kill.for, if only.i knew where to get one!
Ott was selling them for i THINK 350 or some out of hand great deal and now i cant find them except one place where they are like 8 bills.
But boy do i want one. My car is such a dog at the drag strip and just any time its 80+ outside.

It works well. Not as well as expected.
But theres plenty of room for improve ment with my setup.
I could insulate the lines and all the but its makes my iat2s close to out side temp or below outside temp while cruz. During the summer

Im not running it but the motive is pretty simple. It uses your ac lines to super cool its inners and then i believe it uses your s/c coolant to keep it cold as possible. Hence Its probably best to run it on only one h/e so that it doesnt have to cool as much fluid...
Ive seen videos where its like 90 out and nggz iat2s are CHILLING! Its a wet dream.

people say it sucks because they do not install it correctly. I have been running one on my Cobra since 2004. My normal IAT2 temps are in the 50's on a 100 degree day....with NO heat exchanger.
You HAVE to bypass the heat exchanger when you have a killer chiller. Just use a 3 way valve....so it takes 5 seconds to switch back. If you do not bypass your heat exchanger, it will take those nice cool temps from the chiller and RAISE them to ambient as it passes through the heat exchanger.
Guy above is running 2 heat exchangers with his. He would see 30-40 degrees colder if he bypassed them.
Don't believe me? Call em! Joe Kincaid, the guy who designed them, is very friendly.

seems like a good idea for a high horsepower application, but dont you have to be running the ac to have the full effect?
you can lose a couple horsepower from a degree of timing pulled, or you can lose a couple of horsepower from running your ac during a pull.. then have time and money spent towards this for little gain. just doesnt seem worth it for the m62. maybe a cobra or other v8 supercharged car.
this is coming from the guy on stock cooling though lol. i havent even felt it necessary to run a dual pass and h/e
