Yup😉

Right from the L61 build book

"The 2.0L LSJ ECOTEC engine has forged steel rods similar
to Small Block Chevy “Pink Rod.” The forged steel rods are
made of high quality material and have a cap screw 23 mm
small end, and a full floating bronze bushing. These rods are
available through GM under part number 12755126. These
rods require GM Performance Parts piston set part number
88958634 to work with the stock 2.2L crankshaft"

i know a couple of people who ran a 2.2 crower rods in a lsj with lsj pistons raised the compression 1 point

i am sure some people ran the lsj rod and piston years ago
get an accurate measurement may not be as far as you think

I was more pointing to the special part number if the guy didn't want to go with a thicker head gasket

So can anyone tell me what would be need to make a 2.1 out of a 2.4 block using the crank from the 2.0 thanks have been looking but can't seem to find any info on this subject

Slowbalt2000 01-12-2017 07:16 PM

wiesco makes the 88mm pistons that fit on the LNF rods, then just use a 2.4 block and a 2.0 crank. I think zzp sells a crank sensor spacer that you might need.

The only issue is the machining of the LSJ top end to fit the L61 would be something I know nothing about.
