Will DR's Snap axle easily?

well after my tune in january or so with raven i will be done modifying the engine...except maybe some meth in the future....

New mods i will have before tune are CX racing H/E, 60# injectors, BFG KDW II's, and a 2.85 pulley....but i have no traction mods at all cuz i barely go to the track (dad dont like it) so since im getting older he will prolly let me go a little more...so me and bitz thought about buyin a set of DR's to share...but are worried about snapping a axle...

what easy traction mods should i get?

Yes... DR's can snap axles easily...
Get solid motor and tranny mounts.... CAB's help a lot too.

OMG, wheel hop is the #1 killer of transmissions and axles. Don't wheel hop and your golden.

While slicks/drag radials can break something from the sudden grip of traction, it's just not nearly as likely as wheel hopping.

Probably do them all at once if you can. It's gonna set you back a few hundred.
The DR's can still snap an axle if you push enough torque out.

found this out the hard way recently, I've had my solid mounts on for so long that when I went to the track for the first time, I wasn't expecting wheel hop and BOOM...driver side axle gone.

I used Mickey thompson ET street, 26x10.5x16 on my 13.2@104

I'm switching to a hoosier 24.9x8x16 for next season. The mickeys are a great tire, but that was just too big, it made the gearing too long, acceleration suffered. But they are a real wrinkley tire that provides a lot of cushion. I doubt you would break an axle or tranny with them unless you're an idiot.

interesting i may go with the nitto dr as hatrickstu did so well with them buddy (dont cry ...) but how about fixing hop with mounts like i do? and you are right driver and slicks make a big difference...control arm bushings dont stop hop i got spherical joints, dont help without mounts..... damn what time is it? past my bedtime
