only if you punch the gas. It'll probably run prettty rough.

just wait day of tune. Pop out the stuff yourself, and then let him tune it.

dont drive it with those 42's installed without the tune. the 2.9 can be installed before, just dont go over 12 psi boost before the injectors and tune. Without the tune, but with the 42's it will run WAY TOO RICH, and you'll probably end up either flooding the engine, or ruining the cat.

If you were going turbo, it'd be easy... just leave the charge piping disconnected until you got there.
lol, whu? I thought OP was already supercharged as his sig says 2006 SS/SC. Who said anything about running an N/A tune?

GM said it was fine to install the 42lb injectors and drive to the dealer with their kit. you will be fine OP. just swap everything out right before getting a tune. the car will run rough but not too bad

Sorry, I was looking at a 2.2L thread about supercharging and got confused for a minute. Long day.

Hey Dezzie.... Who are you getting to put on your pulley and tune your car for the 2.9 ? I also have a 2.9. Its not installed yet. But i already have the gm stage 2 so i was gonna put the 2.9 on soon and see how it works. I know the gm stage 2 tune runs rich. So i was hoping id be okay with the 2.9. I ask because your in Dartmouth and im from Sackville. So we are all of about 10 mins apart. And i only know of one or two people to tune these cars. Was just wondering who you have to do your tune for you ?
