wire color help

I'm the process of hooking up an Auto Meter sensor module for the Nexus gauges. Part of the install requires hooking up to the ignition wire, tachometer wire, and coil or ignition box. Does anybody know the specific colors of these wires? I want to be able to wire this so that it won't turn the gauges on until I turn the key to "accessories on" position, just like how you would get the radio on without starting the engine.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't need just one wire. I need all that I mentioned in my OP. For power I am hooking up to both the positive and negative battery cables. The thing I'm currently doing is hooking up a sensor module so that I can link all the gauges I'm getting and be able to do some data recording without hooking up a laptop while I'm driving. Once I get this all setup I should be able to record 11 minutes of data and download it into a computer by removing a memory card from the remote control. This way, I can then focus on tuning on my own time. Last thing I want to do is hit up some twisties and throw a computer everywhere in my car.

Plus, the screens on these gauges while change color if I exceed a specific limit I preset on them. I mean, what if something goes wrong and while you're racing trhe car really hard you break something and miss the change in the gauge reading. Now, the whole gauge will change color if something happens. Here, take a look at what I mean: http://www.autometer.com/demos/nexus/

You said you wanted to be able to have the gauges come on in Accesroy/On position, getting your ignition switched source from the sunroof fuse location will do that for you.

What exactly do you need for the other wires? What do they attach to?

Coil/ignition box is for engine RPM signal. Looks like I may have to buy an adapter kit for that due to our cars having a multi-coil ignition system.

Tach wire is needed to sync the readouts to the tach.

That's a negative. The name is Connor. I'm the guy from Utah that you met at Bandimere in April 2007 for the King Street competition. I have a silver SS/SC. I went one-and-done that day, but my wife, who has the Sport Red Tint SS/NA sedan, went all the way to the semi-finals. It was her first time racing ever.
