No way. The clutch isn't even covered under the regular warranty so satge 2 added will be NO different.

i know but they should know that the clutch is not godo to begin with on the stock car ( you would think they would keep that in mind) and when they were doing the stage 2 testing im sure they must of had problems witht he clutch if they really pushed th ecar) so why would they not have a fix for the clutch even if it was a little bit more money im sure ppl would of still bought it..... just sucks GM did nto think stright when it came to the clutch and the power of our cars

they dont give a ****, thats the sad part, trust me, i had my car in a few tiems that involved some warrenty work, but as soon as the $$ figure starts to rise they try to weasle there way outta it, not speaking for all dealerships, but most will laugh at you when you bring your car in with a burnt clutch and stage 2, thats the way it goes.

not sure, if you're plan an uprising rebellion and riot im in . As for the Clutch i think they ran into problems but for the most part the clutch held up, as well knowing that the clutch isnt covered under warrenty, they probly weren't too concerned.

I still have some funds that I was going to use for new wheel and tires but I think Im going to hold out just in case I need a new clutch.

No GM won't do anything. It dosen't concern them in any way because it's not covered under the warranty. It's like buying a car AS IS. Just like the clutch, the AS IS car is not covered under a warranty so as soon as that customer signs, it's all over. It's all about sales to these car companies. That's just the way it is.

i know what you mean im bring my car in 2morrow since the weather is going to be decent and tell them about my 3 rims that need to be fixed or repalced and i want to see what there going to say to me expecaly since i do have that added rim warrenty with my car i will keep you posted....

but in the end were getting stage 2 for the warrenty... and really how ofton does anything that comes with the stage 2 break? i just think gm knows the cluch will go and most ppl will end up going back to the dealer and bring them more money...

actually it 1- would depend on the dealer and 2- depend on the situation. if you came in with 10000 miles on the car and seemed to be doing normal driving not to over the top on modifications then yes they probably would warranty it. and no offense if your a kid with 28000 miles with all the mods on the vehicle then you are probably s.o.l.

I don't know about any of you but if I was a car company and I had built a car, expecting what was going to be done to it, thinking about warranty reprecussion, I'd make sure that a weaker wearing part would grenade rather than the transmission, which is covered by warranty. Thats my .02 anyway. Reguardless, even speaking of warranty for the clutch, there has to be a certain percentage of failures before anything is looked at twice. If this is infact an issue and not just driver abuse then it will probably be looked into.

The clutch is fine under normal driving conditions, but this is not what the car is designed for. You don't put a blower into a car and say drive it normal. I don't know what GM is saying behind closed doors about it but I would be willing to bet it has something to do with the almighty dolloar and keeping said dollar in their pockets.

I say play till it breaks then go aftermarket. Ya wanna play ya gotta pay.

Exactly. Under normal driving there is not much need to take the car above 3K rpm (4-4.5K max for merging acceleration). The clutch doesn't seem to have problems in this range.

No way someone will cover a clutch unless you can prove it was a defect. What im worrying about is the tranny. I sure hope I dont miss any gears..

This is why we wait so long for performance upgrades. Someone always wants something for nothing. Get serious! We want more power and not one single person who adds bolt ons plus stage 2 is going to drive like a granny. We are going to take it to a track (which voids warranty on the spot if your caught) or we are going to hunt down some formidable competitor on the street and try show him nothing but tail lites. Don't even bother racing if you are not ready for something to break and pay for it yourself. This mentality of GM has to pay\recall is why we will likely never get anything beyond stage 2 from GM. They monitor these forums and they see guys wants to beat on their cars then want GM to pay.
