you don't need to hold boost while shifting a supercharged car, your rpm determines the blower speed.

This. Do you know how a supercharger works?

we benifit from the nls by not having to move our right foot. all we have to do is move the left foot, and shift. which is what makes us faster believe it or not. also the clutch is not disengaged as long as it is in a normal shift

Really?

Dude the air pressure from the blower is created by the pulleys on the blower itself and on the engine. The faster the one on the engine moves, the faster the one on the blower moves, the more air it pushes out. When you shift to a higher gear, rpm's drop, and pulley speeds decrease, thus less boost.

Troof.

Even though if you can shift fast enough you can be just as quick. Personally, i didn't see a real increase in times from NLS alone, just more consistency.

I was wondering about this part myself so I asked similar ?'s to the vendor and wasn't really too impressed or really informed. More or less just got my first impressions of the product validated by the vendor and several other members who thinks this is really worthwhile...

no lift shift benefits from a quicker shift and less torque loss to the wheels, resulting in a faster time.

HTe bypass does not open when you have your foot into the throttle. There is no compressor surge or overpressure on a roots blower, hence why we don't have wastegates and blow off valves.

thank you for the slam of facts! this is so true. I was debating this same thing on the other thread that N2MB posted when this part came out. They didn't really have a valid reason to use this on a supercharged or NA 2.2, 2.4 just that it keeps you in boost when your launching so I said why do I need to be in boost in first gear really anyways? I'm supercharged it's instant and if it's not it's fast enough how do you need bost if your already spinning in first and they said this is for a full race car with traction mods... LOL
