I don't think so. Don't quote me on that though, however I heard our pcm's are a tad bit different.

There are some differences so why not just copy them to your tune that you have.

I wouldn't do it. At least not a complete copy. There are some things that are the same, but quite a few things are different.

I guess the biggest difference is in the intake, so stuff like that should be left for a cobalt tune. However, I have a fix on my car for the surging idle, and a redline guy did it to his car, and i just copied that.

so to answer the question, yes and no. I wouldn't do it unless you knew what you were doing though. It will work, but I don't think it would be very good for long.

My idea was to see if I can buy the the stage #3 retune form CA, and have them email me the tune and either put it on the redline OR just copy the changes over to my tune...actually I was going to ask Spooner from the RL forums and see if he can do the changes over to the redline tune, since he would know what he can change...

I have contacted CA about sending in my PCM for them to tune it, but they have to find a local to see what happens...so it might take some time and they would only charge $229...alot better than $500 for a dyno tune...

Dont forget though there is the possibility that there tunes will be locked and if it is you wont be able to see what they change.

did you mail in your PCM? I thought about it, but don't feel like doing the security relearn procedure....did you tell them what you have in your car and they tuned it to that? how is your A/F?

Yes, but it is like a prototype tune....I love it though (THANKS SPOONER), but it still needs some fine tuning still to be done....like I get knock in the top end and the surges and bogs...but it is way faster than it was before...

Most of tune it will work. the Differences might be the Ve table and certain small things. Of course You have to do your own air fuel ratio since every car is different. but other than that everything works. My tune cosists of a redline and an 06 cobalt. Mines is an 05. I put it all together you just gotta know what you are doing and have some creativity and a scan and wideband gauge. Even though you can use your laptop to check for knock.

You have a 2004 RL, you car is MAP based vs. the other year Redline and Cobalts being (I think...) 02 Sensor based. Talk to Sp00ner, he was talking about this the other day. Supposedly, HPT has a feature called compare, where you can compare two tunes and it will identify the differences, and then you can simply make the changes yourself. So, to answer your question, you can, it just isn't a direct transfer.
