you need a tune and bigger injectors and you also need some cooling mods.. and colder plugs.....and a hub for that pulley...

haha maybe before you downsize to a 2.5 you better do some reading.... You better have another motor lined up too!

if your sig is all you have, you are not good for a 2.5" pulley

If you need to ask these questions, you have no business using that pulley.

Judging by the 1/4 mile time in your sig, you are already heatsoaking before the back half of the track. 1.99 60' does not = 14.2.

The better question is how are you cutting a 1.99sec 60', but only running 14.2... especially with those mods.

I don't see any upgraded injectors in that sig. Still on the stock injectors with that 2.8? I would hope not.

no man you dont want a 2.5, go to a 1.5" pulley... then for cooling mod... just spray your entire motor with nitrous... You Will be running 9's in no time

why dont u all stop bashing on him and give him usefull information...

First off u need to get ur snout machined to run a 2.6 or lower ( i beleave) if i was you i would get a front mount h/e, dual pass, Ported s/c, header dp( if not already), Opt B( another endtank that is a flowthrough), and a shot of n2o would not hurt on the power side or cooling side( maby spray a intercooler bar onto ur H/E), you could also get ur head C&C ported ... i would stay away from a 2.5 just for the fact that rotating the blower that fast will not net u more hp just more t/q which u will feel but it will also decrease the total life of ur blower.

But definatly need ur snout machined for a 2.5 i am posative... Good luck with this and there are plenty of people on here that are running a 2.5 that have yet to blow it up because they have a moderatly safe tune and or know what they are doing and not doing back to back pulls and geting heat soak like a MO FO

for the other question- you can get a 2.5 from any supporting vendor on here sells them i would think. ( i like smoothflow IMO)

Thank-you!!! Now that you want to talk some sense. Your going to want..
1) Dual Pass
2) Option B
3) Front Mount H/E
4) FULL 3" exhaust
5) You could run a 2.7" no smaller
6) A nice moderate rich tune

i already explaned this lol its another tank but its a flowthrough tank... more coolant gets added to the system and alows for more cooling.. u can look up Stu mod... i beleave his is the same concept... or look at any vendors sight( most have it for sale as a kit.. i know at least 1 of them did i beleave its ottp.)

they only reason they are having problems from my understanding is the fuel problem.. most of the people that blow end up loosing piston 4 because of a full shortage which is because in my opinion how the fuel rail is designed where it starts at piston 1 and go's to piston 4 leavin piston #4 with less fuel because of the large amount neeeded by the others.... i will put up a thread and see if i can pull 5 people up for you but honestly i beleave its definatly a posable setup... why would u blow making the same power with an m62 as u would with any other blower?? everyone says with an m62 heat is the big problem... well put a meth jet after and before the blower.... if u get 2 7gpm nossles pumping in with race fuel i dont see why u would have any cooling problems( of course with all other cooling mods... you can definatly keep this car cool... tones of ways of doing it ... definatly not worth it because u could just get a bigger blower and call it a day but some people want to push this blower to its limmits which means spending more money on cooling it than buying a new 1 lol)

i am just saying power=power no matter what kinda supercharger ur going to use... i know each supercharger has its efficiancy and heat problems but if u could cool it off than there is no problem besides makin the blower work to hard and puting strain on the blower.

IMO this is possable but u would be much better off getin a diffrent blower that will work for ur power needs( money wise and motor wise) I definatly could be 100% rong but untill i am proved rong i am going to stick by this no matter how many people bash on me and tell me i am rong and dont know what i am talking about.
