That is honestly entirely up to you. Do you have somewhere you can get an inspection? What are the consequences if you get caught with out a cat in your state?

go with the high flow cat, that way you dont get any cels, you wont notice a huge difference anyways performace wise, but you sure will sound wise the catless is quite a bit louder. They did a test a while back in one of the sport compact magizines about exhausts with a high flow cat coverter and one without, there was very little difference performance wise like maybe 1-2 hp difference, why put up with the hassle of CEL's and a super loud DP for 1-2 extra HP over a catted DP, just my thoughts others may disagree it just comes down to whats important to you?

Is the CEL's becuase you are running a 3" DP on the 2.4? Is it to big for your application or is it a Bad cat on your DP? or others? just curious?

I do not see any reason to go catless and polute more than you need to.

also, in pennsylvania, it is illegal to remove any factory emissions control.

I liked the downpipe, but my flexpipe actually broke on it so I just removed it, if I were to do it again i probably would have went with the 2.5"dp with cat for that extra bit of torque, the 3" is better in the high rpms but i drive most of the time in the mid rpm range and I think a 2.5" would have been best, however the 3" is a great peice i just have a faultly flexpipe, i am just going to order a new flexpipe and have my exhaust shop weld it back togather, you will notice a drop in boost but no loss in power just more efficient. I lost .5ln of boost from 17.5psi to 16.5psi
