Ya another build thread!!!

Havent quite decided wether I should go turbo or to get the harrop. The only difference is the price, turbo $5000k, harrop $3000.

The turbo build:

gt3071r turbo
zzp turbo mani / possible RD Fabs tm
tial 38mm wastegate
synapse bov
ebay charge piping
ebay intercooler
custom dump pipe and downpipe
custom intake mani / RD Fabs im
exedy hyper single clutch
stage 2 axles
Bika tune
eventually would get the hahn 3" exhaust, if I dont like the sound of the side exit

The head is already ported and next winter I am going to upgrade the pistons.

So what u think, 350-400hp??? Thats what Im going for.

Y not a Vulcan tubular manifold, the log zzp is a restriction in the high end, and u should aim for 400hp

their turbo manifolds? From what I've heard they work fine, ask b_faulk, he's running a tubular, also their log manifold looks better than the zzp, I never liked how zzp's manifold gets bigger the the center, looks weird...

If you have the chance to get a tubular manifold... do it...

The problem was with the intake manifold... Horrible paint job, Using the wrong flanges, and using the wrong TB adapters... Get hahns if anything...

Their turbo manifolds actually come out VERY nice.

If 350-400 is all you want out of it, I would just go w/ a disco potato and call it a day...

On your motor my set-up would have you there no problem on like 15psi with pumpgas!

go with the 3071, you will thank me later on when you are pulling some serious cars and go with the hahn log manifold, it will help with the spool and is wonderfully made.

no its not, its set up for internal, the vulcan is the one u want for external, i have pics, but im on a crappy internet connection that freezes firefox when i try and upload...so ill PM u picts later tonight, i have ics of the log with the external flange option, and a tubular w/out it, although u can order a tubular with the external wastegate flange, ill PM u the pics late tonight

idk man, when i look at them both, im sure the tubular will be a better match for any high end application, 400hp will be hard to get on a log manifold...tubular FTW

i really see that log manifold being a restrivtion in the high end, where a bigger turbo makes most of it power, also hahns doesnt offer a external wastegate option...which is something he's going to be running, so the hahn is out of the question, if you dont know the difference a tubular will give compared to a log here:
http://www.full-race.com/articles/Bs...st_writeup.pdf

explains why tubular is a better choice if you want the most out of your turbo

not sure, but what u want is to get the most of the turbo, not spool it faster, while spooling it faster is a good thing, but a few hundred RPM's is ok to sacrafice for the amount of hp you will have access too...check the link i posted, the log peak'd very early, while it still made power, it wasnt as much compared to the tubular(which spooled a few hundred slower) but helped make more higih end power, which is where u will be most of the time @ the track...u only stay in the low end once...after that its all 4k+rpms
