Yes It's another 2.9 thread

Sorry guys I know this topic has been discussed quite a bit lately, and I think it's pretty safe to say that the consencus is that a 2.9 inch pulley with the stage 2 tune is safe. But what I would like to do here is create a thread just for information, not discussion. So if you have done the 2.9 with stage 2, and dyno'd it before the 2.9 and after please post up, likewise if you have taken your car to the track and have slips from before (just stage 2) and after (stage 2 w 2.9) post those bad boys up along with your other mods so that the rest of us can see what kind of #'s to expect.

I know that a lot of this information is already out there but and I did to a search so please hold off on the flaming, I just figured if we got all the info in one place we could possibly make a sticky out of it and avoid any more threads about the topic.

I am also very interested in this. It should help in determining whether the gain in hp/performance is worth the risk. Although you could switch the stage 2 pulley back in if you had to take it to the dealer it would be nice to know if people were having any problems and what they were. Subscribed.

I went from a 3.1 to a 2.9, then to a 2.8 and I can say I definately felt a difference between 3.1-2.9, as for the 2.8 I noticed increased torque and boost climbs much much faster.

its quite noticable actually.
that 1.06 inch is worth over a lb of boost.
which translates to about 10hp/12ftlbs.

but its not only that.....your instant boost, and the boost (and therefore torque/hp) is lifted over the entire RPM range. not just the peak.

its one of the best bang for your buck mods available.
