ZZP Header

I have the GMPP performance exhaust. I want to buy the ZZP header/dp combo, will it fit if I get it with the 3" dp and 2.5" exit? Or should I just get the 2.5" dp?

I too was wondering this!

Are you getting the ceramic coating on the header? Also, are you getting a catless DP? Just wondering.

in theory it could create some turbulance in the exhaust flow & cause a decrease in performance..

Translation: Its stupid to go from 3" DP to a 2.5" cat, and serves no purpose other then to make your exhaust louder

that is probably true and i dont have too much experience w/ different exhaust combos, but i thought of it like plumbing or electricty... you start with a big pipe or wire and it gradually gets smaller the further it gets from the pump or power source. so it seems that it would be more beneficial to have a better flowing heading and dp, than a catback... this could be completly wrong but this is what i have been keeping in consideration while doing my exhaust.

Well let me know if having a bigger header and dp than catbakc will hurt performance. If thats the case then Ill just get the regular size.

i talked to zzp and they said it was much better to have a bigger header and down pipe going into a smaller catback. somehting about thermal something and i cant remember but i was asking a few things here and there and thats what they told me would be the best setup for now in my car

They tend to be a bit weak and can snap when you tighten them. Finding replacements at a hardware store should not be hard at all.

Well I ordered it today. I got the 1 3/4" header, and 3" to 2.5" dp. I didnt get a cat so I hope it doesnt sound ricey.

And I asked the guy at ZZP and he said that you cant loose power at all by going from big to small. All it does is act like an air pocket which takes one billionth of a second to blow the air out of it so it wont hurt power at all. Its all about the velocity of airflow out of your exhaust.
