well, if you are running a cat, then im guessing that would leave a nice big hole in your exaust where the sensor should be...that would prolly throw a cel and make some kind of racket like you are hearing

why didn't they put the can sensor in? is it catless or did they just leave that hole open?

edit: I can hear a bit of a "whoooosh" or a sucking noise between the headers and the intake now, but nothing unexpected or crazy..?

what is it 23 lbs ft of tq for those recommended? it doesn't take much to get that... if they can't even do that I wouldn't take it there again... lol. it could also be the gasket between the dp/and the exhaust, the one that came with mine was different that the one that was on the car, i could see how if it wasn't just right it could cause a leak.

well the car is going to sound different without the cat man. could be a leak though btwn the header and the dp flange, pretty common problem. best way to check, with the car idling, hold a piece of paper around that area and see if it's flapping around in any spot. but more then likely it's just you not being used to it.
As for the CEL, it's from the no cat, and o2 removal. You need someone with HPT to turn it off
