A lot of people have had a problem with the flex pipes. Also not only that but when I switched from the mid length header/dp combo to pacesetter's setup, I gained hp and torque

ya i got the midlength header and the downpipe and agreed the 2 bolt flange is a flaw, i had to heat it up and hammer it flat and still put some exhaust gasket maker in there to fully seal it. other then that its been a great setup on my 2.4

ya the stuff i put on there is the exhaust gasket sealer from pyrex. stuff is nice and thick and is driveable after 15 minutes. and its hard as a rock and catalytic converter/o2 sensor safe.

and couldn't agree more with it being a bitch to put on. you guys have an issue with the nuts being too close to the piping?

Lies, it's a well known fact that a person who used to work there, cough wont say his name but I know it, cough, was so F'ing dumb that he CRIMPED the flex pipes on instead of welding them.

I can't remember it in all honesty, I really want to say fred. All I know is he worked in the exhaust department for zzp and they fired him after he was crimping all the flex pipes instead of welding them. Very very well known issue roughly 2-3 years ago. But that is all fixed nowadays.

Throughout the years though, zzp has had a lot of issues in my opinion in the exhaust department. Crimping the flex pipes, flex pipes breaking in the center / cracking, the whisper resonator failures, the 2 bolt flange failures, all sorts of things.

X2 Thats why when I was searching for a quality header/downpipe combo I took the time to reasearch and most people if not all had said the zzp combo was not worth the money due to the problems it had. Thats why I went with clearimage for my combo. I also considered vibrant, and badmab.
