zzp stage 2 sc cams questions

Im new to cams and trying to learn.
Does the zzp cams make power or simply move the power band? And also how can u tell how much tho expect out of them? Or is it all relative to what else is done to the head?

Thinking of zzp stage 2 SC cams in my talk above

the cams will make the engine have more power under normal driving but realy start to shine 3500 to 4000 up to around 7800 an ex ported head will help putting in nb shafts or doing a bs delete will help and final power out put will be determined by which blower which pully and the tune

Probably not.

However, it completely depends on what pulley you are running on whether or not it will make power all the way to 7500.

I can tell you with stock l61 cams the m62 still has a positive slope on the power curve at 7000 rpm, and those cams are hella conservative fuel mileage cams. So with a bumpier cam you shouldnt have problems making the power up there. Remember, the m62 can flow air to support 400 hp at 9000 rpm.

Thats up to you. Making big power with the tvs will be significantly easier with the m62. I mean significantly easier, like you'll likely be able to just buy a bunch of parts and make over 350 wheel the first try, its going to take more than that to figure out the m62.

I have their stage 2 cams. they are amazing! @ 4k rpm they really open up the motor. @ the time I was running TVS on a 2.9. Im going turbo (Garrett gt3076) and can't wait to see how the cams compliment the turbo!

harry - what else is done to your head?

also I believe I have all the supporting mods needed for TVS.

MIGHT need BRFPR and 80s, not sure really.

Have full exhaust, 3" intake, all cooling mods, meth, clutch/axles already.

With meth, you prolly won't need 80's or brfpr

The cams will have bigger lobes that will produce more air coming into the head. They will give you more power overall. Cams also make the powerband last longer depending on which stage cam you go. I had cams in my 2.2 and loved it but I sold it and picked up my SS

I was making a joke on the fact it said 75,000 RPM.
