well this all depends because if you ever one day have thoughts of turboing your car, then a header is a waste for right now. yes you could go and spray but you run the risk of damaging your engine if its not done properly. as for cams since yours is an 07, like mine, we have that dumb cam postion sensor and would require you to get a shop to take it off your car and onto the new cams.(that i know of that has only been done once thus far).
getting lighter is always a way of being faster. you are not going to see a change a horsepower on a dyno, but only in acceleration because of the lightness of the carbon fiber.
so i would say go with the 2.4manifold and that throttle body and get ls2 edit and tune it up. other than that save it and go turbo

I think it can be a lot of fun to go NA, it takes more planning and thought. Not that throwing a turbo is an easy weekend job (it can be)

some of you guys replied with things he already has in his sig, he has a CAI and lowering springs.

I would go with 2.4 intake manifold, cams (if it's possible for you), header/full exhaust AND a TUNE

but you can do some weight reduction, it is fun, especially free stuff, like crap out of the trunk, matt and carpeting and spare, there's gotta be over 50 lbs of stuff back there, do you need the back seat?? not only can you do this and reduce weight, but I like the extra room, it's like an HHR now but not as ugly on the outside

good luck with whatever you do........I do hear though that the 2.4 IM is very worth it

EDIT: after re-reading your sig, I don't figure you're going to want to be ripping **** out of your car with all that stereo system equipment, subs and what not. get rid of those ASAP

J/K, but it doesn't look like you're not going to be too worried about weight, just make some MO POWER

cams and a tune will net you more than any bolt on you can get for the same price

cams+atleast 10whp cost ~500
exhaust 2-3whp ~400-600
intake ~1-3whp ~200-300
downpipe ~2-3whp ~200

cams are better for the price

It isnt as bad as you think, we turbo'd a n/A DSM in less than 7 hours and tuned it in less than 2.

try to squeeze a full exhaust out of it. headers back. get the gmpp sport or magnaflow. whatever's left (if anything) use on gas.

Save another $500 and supercharge your car. Check out the How-To's and figure out all the parts you need. You can find all the stuff on here for a decent price that could add up to roughly $1500.

OP you should go with a full exhaust, intake, and 2.4 mani for start. You could sub out one of the other things for some springs if you don't like the stock ride height.

this is true.
i've done it, and i spent about.....1000 in parts.
250 for tune, and about another 500 in cooling mods/other things that do go directly with it
