9000 miles

08 LT

2nd gear synchro has like a wall in front of it ,

EX) - Coming to a stop sign , in 3rd or 2nd, depress the clutch and into neutral as I stop , put it in first and away we go then comes 2-3k and I TRY to shift into 2nd and there seems to be a wall there , This is not EVERY time but like 30-40% of the time and sometimes it goes in but moves around like goes halfway in and then when I hit the gas it goes all the way in , I dont get it...... techs say they cant get it to make the problem , BIG SURPRISE.

take it back and politely demand they look at it again, talk to the shop manager if need be. let him know its a cronich (sp?) problem with this car/ tranny (he should know this) and that you want it fixed under warranty

this happened to me and when the tranny blew problem was solved

You know you drive a Cobalt when your 2nd gear is fucked after only 4,000 miles.

Happened to me. Brought it in, same thing happened, they couldn't "reproduce the problem", which is complete bullshit. I'll just wait till the tranny falls out then bring it in. Hell if I care. It is definitely a chronic problem with these cars.

Let it sit all night and let the tranny get cold. Then let them try it.
