05 ls 2.2 motor blown. will 07 2.2 swap

ok have a friend who blew his motor and it 05 ls and he bought a 07 2.2 and we have it in the ca but wont start. besides crank pos sensor we have not found a difference. so would be thankful for some info

wow. well, the crank needs to be out of the 05. that would be a start. the crank reluctor wheel is completely different.

thanks he bought it and the guy said he can bring it back if it dont work so guess that would be best.

no it will not swap the ignition coil are a different set up as well. The engine would need to be out of an 05 or 06 to make it work correctly
