07 any way to get rid of the ugly cover?

Is there anything aftermarket or any way to get rid of the ugly plastic piece over the valve cover and still protect the coils?

ya only custom so far. but there is really no need to have that cover other then the fact that it muffles the engine and keeps it running at a slightly higher temperature thats all. me and my bro have been running with ours off for a while now and nothing has happened and i don't see anything happening related to that cover being taken off.

The engine cover's pretty much just there to make the engine bay look pretty. Doesn't serve any useful purpose

wait are you talking about the plastic cover over the entire engine or the plastic piece over the coils? Cuz I'm pretty sure the plastic piece over the coils mounts the ignition module.

Sounds like I'm just going to take it off and leave it. I tried painting the cover but it looks like crap. I just wish it had the clean look of the pre 07 2.2. Oh well win some lose some.

What about keeping heat in the engine for faster warm ups in the winter? I take it off when the snow melts.
