so today i got a 2008 intake manifold and throttle body brand new off a crate engine for 94 bucks shipped. but i read that the 2008+ intake manifolds arent as good as the pre 2008. is that true? and how big of a difference is there?
and also would this adapter let me use my stock 2.2 tb on the 2.4 mani untill i can get a tune?

What year are you?If your 2007 and up you wont need the TB adapter plate.

 

im 2008

 

Ya your stock TB will bolt up to it with no adapter.Mine had both bolt patterns on it.

do it. he puts the le5s on midget cars i think it was in california but takes off the manifold as soon as he gets the engines

hes got a few different years of em so make sure your getting the right one with the right harness

i read that they were slightly different, and he had one. So i figured why not? i can always sell it for a little more if i need to.

The mainfold needed is pre 2008, not post 2008. As far as I know, nobody has posted anything about the difference between the 2008 and pre 2008. So tell use what you think when you get this installed.

I think you would need a adapter plate for that combo.It would be pointless to run a larger TB on the stock manifold.
Nothing.Its a 2 peice design like the stocker.previous versions are 1 peice molded which is better for boost,so if your saying NA then your fine
