i have access to a cheap 2.0 sc motor, everything complete, planned on buying for the sc parts but was wondering if anyone has used the complete block from 2.0 with the 2.2 head? iv read around and havent found any promising evidence,

 

There are threads where people have used 2.2 blocks with the 2.0 head

 

Thr 2.2 and 2.0 r proly the closest of all the blocks.

U should be able to use the 2.0 block. The lsj and l61 have the same 86mm bore.

The only thing is the reluctor wheel bolted to the crank is probly clocked different. If u solve that. The l61 head dose bolt right on. But if ur gona go through all this trouble u should slap the lsj head on there its stronger.

 

i read about using the lsj head swap on 2.2 block, guess now im asking how hard would it be to swap the 2.0 motor with the 2.2 wiring harness lol

Depends on wat year car u have.. I know the l61 has changed a lil over the years

 

mine is a 06 and the 2.0 is a 06
