what does fully bolted on mean for a 2.2? i would consider a turbo kit a bolt on and a m62 kit a bolt on.

my understanding is that bolt- on is anything except internals, like valves and springs, port n polish, cams, pistons rods etc

the mustang dyno alone is enough to break the heart but it's an NA 2.2 and that means powerless without spray or boost period.

Which header, which cold air intake, and what cat-back?

To be honest it sounds like its taking longer to get through second gear than on my stock 07, but mines a 5 speed so the gearing is probably different.

a catless downpipe on a NA car will rob you of power aswell,

NA cars need back pressure where as Boosted Cars need less back pressure

false, newt has dyno data on one of the threads here ( https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-2l...81/index2.html post #46 ) between an open header and a full exhaust (your magical back pressure)

its an automatic, and its only simple bolt ons, stock at the crank its 145, youre not going to get huge power from little things like that 20-30hp at the wheels (and thats happy). All dyno's arent the same, only way to really know is what you where stock and then after the mods.

Wow.. yeah when I was fully bolted with a tune I would think I was closer to 170WHP...
And I'm Automagic too.
However i wouldn't consider that full bolt ons, have vince take a look at your tune, you can def pull more power out of it. It's also a mustang dyno which is a heartbreaker in itself, so don't get too down on yourself.

I'm happy my 2.2 is a daily driver and not my money bucket lol I would be pretty pissed off too if my car made small gains fully bolted. That's good to kno for future reference cuz my buddy wants to bolt a 2.2 also. A Supercharger will make u about 270 hp to the crank if I'm correct. Anyone kno for sure tho??

That still seems low even for a mustang dyno. But remember Dynos are used to tune, and to see the progress between mods. Every dyno is calibrated a little different. The important thing is to continue to use the same dyno so that you can track your progress.

At least you have proof that you went to the dyno. A lot of guys on here talk it, but no proof. Also whats up with the tune , why did it take so long in 2nd, sounded longer than factory, exhaust did'nt sound catless either, got pics?
