There are I think a few kits that are in R&D phases.

As far as HP goes, you can figure basically 10 HP for each PSI of boost.

So 8 PSI = 80 HP

Without some engine and tranny work, if you try to run a high boost I don't think the car would be in tip top shape for long.

well i figure new pistons and heads... the tranny should hold up lol stock can handle 8 psi, thats what everyone is saying.... maybe 12 psi with the gm heads and pistons kit. O yea i was also wondering does a cavi turbo kit fit on a cobalt?

Pistons and rods, not heads. And if you are only doing 8psi and 250HP, you don't have to change a thing. If you go to 12, then yes you do. And no, Cavalier kit will not fit on a Cobalt.

12 psi on stock, puts you around 260, some people have been ok with running the ecotecs even higher although i probably wouldnt chance it. 8 psi on stock will net you around 225-230 hp.
check out the hahn site.
if you want to push the stock internals to 250hp, i wouldnt go more than 10-11psi.

8psi will get you 250 crank HP not at the wheels...for wheel HP you are looking at around 220ish...which is more than enough...I bet it would produce an amazing amount of torque if you select the right turbo as well.

if you want to put together a custom kit, look at some of the other parts on ebay.
